Motor control centers (MCC)
An MCC groups multiple motor units in one assembly with a common bus. At P1C the scope of an MCC is defined together with your project engineering, supported by P1C Select calculations and data.
Data reviewed
- Voltage, bus current and available short-circuit current.
- Motor list with HP, current and starting method (across-the-line, reversing, soft starter or drive).
- Unit type and construction; heat losses to size ventilation.
- NEMA enclosure rating and site conditions.
Supporting calculations
The platform estimates connected load and suggested bus, short-circuit current and bus bracing, current density and assembly heat losses. These are quoting estimates; they do not replace the project's short-circuit study.
Availability: MCCs are quoted as engineered projects; certified or withdrawable units require a specific review.
